I had the worst pedicure in my life here at katrinas beauty works ipswich. A deluxe parraffin pedicure sounds indulgent but it was not. To begin with I was wearing a modest length skirt and instructed to get on to a treatment bed which had been sat up at the head, to bend my knees in a skirt to put my feet in a giant cooking bowl of water at the foot of the bed but still on the bed, I wasnt offerered any sheet to cover my self with as tried as best I could to modestly do all this without showing everything, the therapist then sat at the foot of the bed where Im sure she got an eyeful. The exfoliant and was applied only to the fronts of my legs, and massage which I would more describe as rubbing cream on was done to only one leg and two feet. I'll say again no massage actually took place, The parraffin was so so hot, it hurt, and the therapist actually acknowledged but did nothing to sooth or even pause her actions. and finally no base polish was applied and only one coat of my chosen colour was applied, I told the woman that it did not look as dark as the sample i'd been shown nor the bottle and she agreed, she did say afterward that she had only put one coat on because it dries faster. This service cost $85! I wrote to the head office with no response, I will tell anyone who will listen this place was awful with regard to genuine customer care, and secondly incompetent at beauty services, the woman whom did my pedicure was the manager, she seemed so disinterested and yawned through out, at times I was left in the ugly bright treatment room with no reading material even offered. For so much money I expect a lot more. 1 star is too high for them.
