Dr. Osman Bashir Tahir is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon, currently based in Lahore, Pakistan. He qualified in medicine from the oldest and largest medical institute in Pakistan, King Edward Medical University in 2003. Upon completion of house-job at Mayo and Allied Hospitals for one full year, he embarked to the United Kingdom for further studies.
Dr. Osman worked at the Whipps Cross University Hospital, in Leytonston, East London for almost two years, completing his Basic Surgical training. He obtained his surgical qualification from the oldest surgical college, the 500 year old Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and headed back to Pakistan. He then followed his passion by joining the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Burn Surgery at Mayo Hospital and is in his 5th year of training as an Academic Senior Registrar in the department. He enjoys performing complex reconstructive and burn surgery, and the constant teaching and learning environment at Mayo Hospital.
