Randy's Haircuts For Men
Reviews
I went to Randy's to get a haircut and got my haircut by Randy. Overall the haircut came out alright. BUT he didn't even tape my sides or the back. I have never been to a barbershop where this isn't standard practice. The main reason I go to get a new haircut often is to get the sides taped up because without that I look scruffy. I had to ask him to do it and he just did a quick uneven job with the electric cutter. I was shocked. I won't be going back there again.
I've been going to Randy for several months. Always a great haircut for only $12. UPDATE: I posted this review 2 years ago. I am still going to Randy's and both he and Cody are top notch. Still always a great haircut for only $12. They now have two locations: one on W. University Ave and one on NW 43rd Street
I always go to Randy to get my hair cut and he always does a great job! Couldn't ask for more.
Cody gave me a haircut and almost completely disregarded what I had in mind to do with my own hair. My clear instructions were, shave the sides, trim the top and thin a little. I had pretty long hair, and I wanted to keep my long hair on the top but just clean it up a little. After he shaved my sides which was the only thing he got right, he starts to trim my hair. At first he was cutting off maybe a quarter of an inch of my hair so I told him that he could trim a LITTLE more so that it would seem like I actually got a haircut. He then cut off around 3 inches of hair that I had wanted to keep. When he was done cutting, I was already dissatisfied and disappointed, and then he asked if I still wanted to thin my hair. I told him "no, it's short enough" and he proceeded to thin my hair and make it even shorter. Also, his appointment was late so I went up in his place and once the man got there Cody tells me "we need to hurry up." That's no way to treat a customer. I regret going in there entirely, the only reason this has two stars and not one is because he actually shaved my sides the way I wanted them shaved.
These guys are the real deal. They were fast, courteous, and did a remarkable job. He even used a straight razor for the hair on my neck, NOT electric shears. A straight razor!!!! It blew my mind, to say the least. If you need a hair cut for a formal occasion like I did or just a regular cut done professionally, GO TO THESE GUYS. I go to school at UF and can't afford an expensive haircut so I normally either cut it myself or go to a franchised place. But for $12 This is wellllllllll worth it. Coming from a first time customer, I will absolutely come back. Seriously the best barber in Gainesville.
