the salon 1.0 Paul Mitchell Focus Salon

I love this salon! It was my first time going here and Jenna was my stylist. She offered me a choice of beer, wine, juice, or water. Then she then gave me a tour of the salon. They have a ‘color bar’ where you get to watch your stylist mix your color up which is cool. They also have a separate room where they wash your hair which is super relaxing. Also, because it was my first visit they gave me a complimentary paraffin wax treatment on my hands while I had my hair washed. They really made me feel welcomed and I love the atmosphere. Jenna really knew what she was doing – the color and cut came out perfect. And their prices are reasonable. I couldn’t be happier. I will be going here from now on. :D
Sonny D definitely takes his work seriously! I went when the place was still opening up, and they certainly went out of their way to make it enjoyable. They paying/price system is a little odd (they offer like 6 "grades" based on the stylist's skill), and didn't have all the grades they offered actually available at the time. They didn't do walk-ins, which was also a little annoying, seeing as no one was even there when I had gone. :(
I have gone to a lot of the salons in and out of the area over the past 15 years. I was driving on Tampa Road and saw the Paul Mitchell Salon and decided to stop in and get some information. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I love Jenna, she has great insight into hair styles and hair color. I haven't had to shop around for another salon ever since I started to go there. From the time you walk into the door until you step out the door everyone will make you feel like you are at home. Everyone becomes family and they all care about your experience in their salon. Thank you for the caring support you all give me from my hair care experience to my personal experience. I look forward to my next appointment !!!!
Sonny has the best salon in Oldsmar and now in Tampa. My mother, 5 sisters and mother-in-law love this place and usually all try to go together and make it a family event when we are all in town lol. I don't EVER let anyone cut my hair but I have come to trust admire Sonny and his magical hands lol he is like an Edward scissor hands. I recommend this salon to everyone especially to those scary cats like I use to be :-)
After looking at a number of reviews on the internet for salons I discovered that there were a lot for South Tampa. I don't mind driving a little out of my way for a good hair cut but if I had my choice would stay close to home. I got lucky and by chance (driving by) noticed "Paul Mitchell The Salon 1.0" on my way home from work a couple months ago. I called to make an appointment for a haircut and they were able to get me right in. I'm sure only because this is a relatively new salon and a lot of people do not know about it yet. Sonny (the owner) greeted me, offered me drinks; wine, soda, water, coffee and then proceeded to give me a tour of the salon and explain what each area was about. I was then introduced to Jenna, my hair stylist, and she listened to what I was looking for, looked at pictures I had brought in with me and gave me her opinions based on my face structure and lifestyle. I left with a really great cut. It is very obvious that she loves to cut hair. My second time going, I wanted to go shorter ( I have very short hair). She said "Let's go for it" and again, going by the picture I brought in, gave another great cut. I have been coloring my hair via "box color" for years and decided recently to do something different. I went in and Jenna and Sonny sat with me and went over some ideas as I had no idea what I wanted. I then went back a couple days later for the hair coloring experience and WOW!!!!! CHANGE! At first, I was a little apprehensive because it was so different than what I was used to but after a day or so of constantly looking in the mirror I began to get more accustomed to it. Of course then I had to go to work on Monday with a brand new look and was worried about that. Even had dreams. lol. Well, I work for a company with mainly men and expected to get some flack. Wrong. They all said how much they like it and how it has changed my face. "Brighter and Fresher and Very Modern". Then the main receptionist gave her opinion..she also loves the change ( she is in her 20's). I am in my LATE forties to VERY CLOSE TO 50. Yikes. I was just afraid for my "age" it would be a little too much. I am VERY glad that I "went for it" and Jenna was wonderful. When I go in for my hair cut she does not rush at all and is very precise. This salon also has a very relaxing "wash" area and while you are getting your hair washed and conditioned they offer ( for free) a very nice paraffin hand wax. I have found my new salon right in my own back yard and would highly recommend this salon to others.
