When I called I asked for the box braids I was told 180 if I wanted it really long it would be 200. okay when I got there that all changed it was 200 if I wanted it long 230 240. The lady who did my hair ( Fatimah do not go to her if you have a choice) had an attitude because I wanted the front of my hair cornrolled this was before she even did 1 braid and after I waited for her to eat. I got there at 9:30 ( I had an apt) they were just walking in so I guess they had to eat breakfast. Anyway I told the owner or the 1 who seemed to be in charge and was more fluent in English if she didn't want to do my hair then I would just forget it. she said no she will do it. Well my hair is horrible I asked for box braids and showed them the picture. it wasn't of janet Jackson in poetic justice and every time I look at it I want to cut them off and I just got them today. The front braids are way too big. The lady tells me its cause my hair is thin in front . which makes no sense to me . Why would you make the braid so heavy then. Fatimah walked away cause I was clearly upset and the owner did try and fix it but it was way too many and my kid needed a haircut bad. so to make a long story short that is 200 down the drain and I am still looking for a hair braiding shop in Chicago. That's not on the corner near and alley and bus stop in a bad part of town. Hassy was an overall bad experience. I will never go there again.

i braided my hair at Hassy's, although the hair was pretty nice the lady chopped my hair mistakenly while she was trimming the braid and she didn't tell me, i got home and noticed a patch on my head. still went back there a second time to get my hair braided, that's how good they are.

Overall, it was a good experience. The women that worked there were pleasant and worked efficiently. I've recommended it many people and would go back. I went in for Senegalese twists and so far I've had them in for two months...no complaints whatsoever!

Ok first off the lady kept burning my scalp and didn't even clip my ends when I left to leave the hairstyle only lasted 20 minutes waste of 40 bucks
