Love it! The salon is clean and the staff are all friendly and seem to do great work. Amy (the co-owner) cuts my hair and she's awesome. She always asks what I want and double checks before snipping. The haircuts are also super affordable ($20 for ladies...) but excellent quality. The products are reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend the Hairman and refer all my friends there.
Love this place!!! Great prices and great stylists! I recommend it to all my friends!!
The outside of this place is shabby looking but it is very nice inside. I walked in and was fortunate that a regular had just canceled so I got a great men's haircut for only $16. I will go back, next time I am in town and need a haircut.
I have been going to the same stylist for a while and when she and another stylist decided to buy Hairman I followed them! Their shop is adorable and clean. I never have any problems getting an appointment that is convenient for me. I haven't had to wait for "behind" schedule stylists like I had to at previous shops. I am always satisfied by my new style when I leave and the staff is all super friendly! I never have someone other than myself wax my eyebrows but I let them and they have always done a great job!! I wouldn't go anywhere else in the area to get my hair done or to get my eyebrows waxed!! Plus you can't beat thier prices!! Check them out it will be worth it!
Here the thing: most women who go to beauty school have no idea how to cut men's hair... they spend all their time learning how to style and cut women's hair, with little time left to practice cutting on men. In my experience, this has, more often than not, led me to have unsatisfactory haircut experiences. When I arrived in W. Lafayette 2 years ago, I visited 6 different salons for haircuts before finding one that did a good job the first time, and I've not gone anywhere else since. Hilary at the Hairman worked at a barber shop for many years after she finished school, so she's got plenty of practice cutting men's hair, and she's the only person in town I let touch it anymore.
