Piedmont Plastic Surgery & Dermatology
Reviews
I have had 3 seperate experiences with this facility and all 3 have been top notch. The ladies at the front desk are wonderful and very nice on the phone. They staff in the back are also spot on. I recommend this place to all my friends!
I was there a few years ago, and again recently, did not have dealings with the dermatology side of the house, just with the plastic surgery side, and I will say this, Dr Swank is not a great plastic surgeon, this is my opinion, and I do have first hand experience and can make that statement. The practices techs are the ones who do the great work, they are the ones with the steady hands that do the great suturing!!! The techs have the great bedside manner, as well as the nurse! Dr Swank does not show much self confidence when he asks his staff "well does it look good." "What do you think?" Its not about what the staff thinks, its about what does the patient think. Dr. Swank, let go of your self arrogance and be a better plastic surgeon like the rest of the plastic surgeons in your practice throughout the local and surrounding area, and those who have their own practices in the area.
I LOVED my experience with Dr. Swank! I went for several consulations at various offices and had no doubt that this was the facility for me. The staff have been so helpful and friendly. I called several times with questions and they were happy to answer everything I needed. I will recommend all of my friends to this facility and I look forward to my continued care. I needed to inform them that I was going to be a few moments late, and the receptionist was very helpful and gave me directions that allowed me to arrive faster than my GPS. I was shocked to read the other reviews to find people who were dissatisfied.
I came to this facility with the hopes of getting some sort of shots to help with lines that have occurred as I have aged. I had an appointment with DR. HUNT. I have NEVER been more humiliated at a medical facility then by her. She took a look at me and said "I would have to put at least 14 bottles of injections in your face and I don't even think that would help. You need a facelift and while you are at it, your eyes need to be done too". I am not looking to look like Joan Rivers but simply to take off a bit of the lines of my lower face without everyone I know seeing an obvious transformation. I left there and actually broke down crying in the parking lot because I don't want to pay for this much surgery nor do I want this drastic change. HOW WRONG COULD DR. HUNT BE. I went to a cosmetic and rejuvenation facility and was given 4 injections and I could not be happier. My lines are gone but not overly plastic and I feel much more confident. As a last note, DR. HUNT also said that "I am in my 40's so I can get these rejuvenation shots but you, at 60, it just won't work". How insulting..
I have been a patient at Piedmont Dermatology for some years but I have recently felt like they have become much more commercial and less interested in people’s actual health. The office staff there is VERY UNFRIENDLY. I used to recommend them to friends but now I am unfortunately unable to. Sad to say I will be in search of a new dermatologist.
