She overcharged me for a hair cut where she barely took off any of the length. She manipulated me into coloring my eyebrows and putting fake lashes on, when I walked in the door she just took over. She didn't even give me a choice, and charged me for all those things too. I just wanted a simple hair cut, yet she felt the need to doll me up for a photo-op for her website. I looked like a drag queen by the end of it. Waste of money, waste of time. She is a horrible hair stylist. DO NOT GO THERE!

If i was Roger Ebert, i would give Hair Design 61 Two Thumbs Up! When you walk in your greeted with a smile and not treated like a number , like a lot of places Ive been to. Great Service , Great Cut! I will most definitively be a returning customer!

I have been going to Eleni at Hair Design 61 for over a year and I love her! She does an excellent job! Whenever I have a vision for what I want my hair to look like it always turns out that way! The salon is beautiful and I enjoy browsing through the jewelry, purses, makeup etc. that she has there along with hair products. It's always an overal good experience for me when I go in for an appointment. Eleni has a wonderful personality and it feels like you've been friends forever when you talk to her. She goes above and beyond to make you feel special and happy with your results. The prices are very reasonable as well. I definitely reccomend trying this salon!

Choosing this place wasn't tough, thanks for the reviews. I was here last week to get a layer hair cut, this is my first visit to Hair Design, it's close to my place and I am new in this neighborhood, I had bad hair cuts in the past.. So I explained Eleni how I want my hair to look. She listened patiently and did a trick at the end which made my hair look more flowy than before, I am loving the way it looks now. She is a very sweet person, it started raining outside I was the last customer and she offered me a ride back home :) Thank You Eleni!!!!

I went to this salon because of the awesome reviews it had. I realized once I went that maybe she does a great job with haircuts, but as far as coloring goes she does not. It wasn't even so much that she made a mistake with the coloring, it was her lack of professionalism once she did. I was so disappointed. I came in with numerous pictures of the bleach blonde hair I wanted, and how I only wanted a couple streaks of other colors. I said maybe a few streaks of red and brown but that I wanted to majority blonde. She made my entire hair red. I was in shock, I had no idea what happened. I asked her to please fix it that that wasn't what I wanted. She told me it was late and she wouldn't do it that night I could come back another day. Normally when you go to a salon if they mess up your hair they don't just tell you no. But anyway, I came back the following day and showed her another picture showing her how I wanted it blonde. She put bleach in for about five minutes then said that was all she could do. My hair is now pink. I told her that was not my fault that she did it all red in the first place, and I needed it to be blonde. She said she put enough effort into my hair and id have to deal with it it wasn't terrible. I was mortified. I have never seen such lack of professionalism. She didn't offer to give me my money back, to find a way to fix it, nothing. I showed three other hairdressers my hair after and asked them what they would have done. They all said they would have bleached the pink for longer. This is what I Told her to do and she refused. Totally disappointed with the 150 dollars I spent for pink hair.
