Let me preface this review by saying the people working at this salon are extremely kind and sweet ladies, from my experience. That being said, this review pertains to the business itself, not any particular person working there. I got a LivingSocial deal for a mani/pedi, hour massage, and hour facial. First of all, this place is located in the middle of nowhere - not so convenient. I was called early on the day of my appointment to be informed that my massage was no longer available, and I was offered an upgrade on the mani/pedi. Not ideal (who doesn't want a massage?) but whatever... the Shellac upgrade was chipped and peeling off by the end of the same day, unfortunately. The "hour-long" facial was essentially an insult to every other facial I've ever experienced; a mask was applied to my face, and then some lotion and that was it - no steam, no extractions, no massage, no exfoliation, no heat, etc. NOTHING but a quick mask and lotion, probably 20 minutes at most. While I'm sure the products used were nice and expensive, this experience should not be marketed as a real facial... I could have done this at home by myself frankly, and not driven out to the middle of nowhere. The Shellac was super disappointing, too. Can't review the massage service as I didn't get to experience that one.
