I came to the salon back in May of 2014 for color and a haircut. At that time, the owner seemed to be very attentive to my wants and needs for my hair. I left feeling satisfied and looked forward to returning again. Once I got home, I showered and a lot of the color that I just had done was literally going down the drain. When I started to dry my hair, I had noticed that it was cut unevenly in several different places. Despite all of this I called and made another appointment. I arrived at the salon early and the owner had another customer whom he was talking to while finishing her up. After she left, I explained how disappointed I was at my last appointment with my hair. He proceeded to discuss this with me and assured me that I would leave happy this time. During the course, of this appointment, he got very personal in conversation with me talking about his poor sick mother, his sister and other things which I felt very uncomfortable sitting there listening to. This was extremely unprofessional and he was not paying attention to what he was doing with my hair once again. This was the worse first and second experience i have ever had with my hair. I would NEVER go back to Avant Garde Salon ever again nor would I even recommend them to a dog!!! Very unprofessional and a total waste of time and money.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a salon! I came in as a new customer to get my hair highlighted and trimmed. I have long dark curly hair and wanted vibrant red highlights. I was extremely disappointed to say the least!! The first time he did my highlights the color didnt even take. FOr any of you who know about highlighting its a long process, the foils, and coloring then the processing time under the dryer. I had to get it redone and it still wasnt right! This man has no clue what he is doing and shouldnt be in business! I was there for ever three hours on a Saturday and left feeling taken advantage of and miserable! He certainly cant cut hair either, I got home and just wanted to cry! LADIES PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES THE HORROR AND DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON EVER!!!!
