My best friend wanted to go get our nails done before she left the city to move to her new state. I agree to go with her to Fancy Nails since she said she had liked it when she had gone. I walked in to find her and was greeted very close by a guy, who ended up being the one to do my nails. I am not comfortable with people in my space, nor are most girls, so when I pulled back when he got to close, he started laughing. YES! I said LAUGHING! When he sat me down I showed him what I would like through a picture on my phone, and that I like them square and not round. Acrylic nails (since my nails are short) painted with a pink Shellac with sparkles on my ring finger. Not too difficult, or atleast it has never been at my normal nail salon. Needless to say, he butchered my nails! Made them round and super short, painted them and didn't do 2 coats on each finger. He got the Shellac paint all over both my hands and didn't clean them off. Then ripped my cuticles as I continued to wince. By the time it was done I just wanted to get the hell out of there. It took him 1 hour and 45 minutes to do a 35-40 minute nail job because he was constantly texting, on his personal cell phone talking and/or walking around the salon, while I tried to sit there patiently. When I checked out, it got EVEN better. He told me it would cost $50 but he'd give me a $5 discount so it'd come to $45. (It's $35 at my normal salon) So I told him I'd pay $40 cash and run the $5 on my Debit card. He took my cash and then proceeded to run $45 on my debit card. He started LAUGHING again. I was livid! I knew I had taken cash out of my account so I only had $35 in there, so not only did he take my $40 cash, run $45 on my debit account, causing a $35 OVERDRAFT charge and then LAUGHED when he messed up, he argued with me that I wouldn't get an overdraft charge, it'd would've come back declined. I explained to him it was a debit card, not a credit and that it would in fact charge me a $35 overdraft fee. He continued to argue with me and wanted to see my card, which I refused to give back to him, since I KNOW WHO I BANK WITH and THEIR POLICIES. DO NOT GO HERE! IT WAS LITERALLY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! THEY ARE HORRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE, OVERPRICED AND THEY DON'T CARE THAT YOUR NAILS LOOK LIKE A KINDERGARTEN PAINTED THEM!!!!!
They have a ton of shellac colors! Prices are just right!
