Normally net reviews overly represent negative views, so I'm going to go through the hassle of writing a positive one. The cut I get is $35, which includes the wash and trim. I have had better haircuts from other hair salons, once maybe, but James Hair Studio is very consistently good. And I have been going there for 3 years rough and round. As to the service. The girls are always friendly, not overbearing, not overly salesy. They're professionals.

For a men's cut this place was expensive, especially considering the level of service and the average cut I received. The two staff working there showed as much personality as planks of wood and barely smiled. I would not bother to go back.

Absolute most disgusting experience of my life. I asked the girl to give me a bob cut. She ended up giving me some lawn mower attack crossed with a bowl cut. I haven't cried this hard over a haircut. I called up about a refund, and she told my boyfriend that she couldn't give a refund because I allowed her to do it. I'm sorry, but I can't see the back of my head while you're cutting it, love. It was worse before I fixed it up a bit myself, but I'm still really upset and can't wait for it to start growing back. I think the owner needs to remind their workers what a bobcut is. $39 gone down the toilet. I could've done a better job with my eyes closed.

They say it takes 3 weeks to get over a bad hair cut. This will take 3 months. Staff personality..zero. Price paid $189.00. Cut a disaster. Color,ran a close second to the cut. Definately wouldn't reconmend. By Peter. Alex (rating) 1 Nov 2009 was very generous.

Been going to James Hair Studio for about 5 years now...was working in the area when I first went, now work out of the area and still drive to Freo for a shampoo and cut :)
