Went for a wax today and thought the place to be fabulous. Very cosy atmosphere which makes you feel right at home, lovely chatty staff, incredibly good prices and I got a much better service than I did a few months back at Tao Beauty Salon (St Aldate's). At Tao's I felt a little rushed through the whole process and they not only left some (obviously visible) hairs in, the wax residue made me stick to my trousers for the rest of the day. The Parlour is a little tricky to find, but well worth a visit.

I had a course of electrolysis at the Parlour many years ago when I was a student. The staff were always friendly and highly professional and the treatment worked like a dream giving me many years completely hair free. After I left university I moved away from the area and had electrolysis (for a different area) at two other establishments. Despite lengthy, expensive, courses of treatment, the hair growth never totally disappeared. Recently, I moved closer to Oxford again and returned to The Parlour for treatment. After all those years (more than 10) the staff were equally as courteous and competent and after one treatment I saw a great improvement. Further, I have no doubt, that as before I will become 100% hair free, in the treated area, within a reasonable time period. So, in my view The Parlour wins hands down over other less well established outfits.

I had great service from the staff at The Parlour. I was looking to buy a gift for my girlfriend. They gave me good advice about treatments, i paid over the phone and the nicely presented gift voucher was sent directly to my partner. She was thrilled with it and really enjoyed her Pamper Day.
