Arrived at salon to be left standing, waiting for woman at reception to get off the phone. Not a smile nor welcome or any acknowledgement from her towards me, a customer. Very odd and rude. After she is done with her phone call, I am asked - harshly - to take a seat. I didn't care for her attitude assuming she was a receptionist and that I won't have to deal with her again. But she was the stylist - Hannah. When we go over to wash my hair, she uses water that's too hot for me. I tell her it's too hot for me, she switches to warm, then switches back to hot. I have to tell her again that the water is too hot. She laughs. Back to warm for a second and back on hot once again. After telling her twice, I figure she is being mean-spirited and doing this deliberately. Fine. We go over to the chair for the cut, and she is very rough when brushing my hair, pulling on it, and hurting my scalp and my ear with the tangle teezer. I tell her to stop, and that she was hurting me. She apologises (thank you), and does it again! At this point, I wanted her to just get it over with the cut so that I could leave and never return. After about 15 minutes of just Hannah and I at the salon, another stylist walks in. I don't know her name but I'm assuming she may be a senior stylist as she kept a keen eye on what Hannah was doing, and what struck me as strange yet very amusing was the change now in Hannah's (bad) attitude towards me. The aggressive, mean-spirited Hannah was now trying to make unnecessary small talk. Thank you, Hannah, but it does not change anything. Too little too late. Before I left, she handed me a card, which was my opportunity to ask for her name (yes, she didn't bother to introduce herself to a customer). Would I recommend Barbarella Hair to friends? Perhaps (it was clean and not busy, ie empty!). Would I warn them of Hannah? Absolutely.

Had my first experience at Barbarella Hair the other day. Everyone made me feel like I was a regular client who had been going for years. Don't normally shout about getting my haircut but was really happy with what service I got. Thumbs up :-D

I always look forward to my Barbarella hair experience! The girls are really friendly and fun! Helen usually does my hair but I am confident leaving my hair in the capable hands of all the stylists in the salon. I would recommend the salon to anyone looking for talented, friendly staff who always try their best to make you look and feel fabulous!

I first started going to Barbarella Hair when I was 7 months pregnant and Helen looked after me so well. We chatted and clicked straight away, she put me at ease and suggested some fabs ideas/colours for my hair. I will NEVER go anywhere else but Barbarella Hair. I always look forward to my appointment and tell all my friends about the Salon. My Mum always comments when I come home from barbarella saying how wonderful it looks. Love, love, love Barbarella x
