Looking for a new hairdresser - I chose Sudan for two reasons. The first - as I browsed outside the salon I received a warm welcome from a staff member who offered me a card and pointed me to their web site. The second reason - I noticed they use a particular hair product that is so... good for your hair. The consultation, Sue really listened, the colour was perfect and the cut was superb as was the cup of tea - in a real cup. I highly recommend Sudan Hairdressing.
I was in Auckland on holiday earlier this year and had time to make a hair appointment so popped into Sudan after hearing from a friend as to how good they are. Sue looked after me with my colouring and Dan did the cutting/styling. I was served a first class espresso coffee - better than most cafes! The music in the background created a wonderful casual feel to this bright, arty oasis in Glen Eden. The shop, although on the main road wasn't easy to see at first because of trees, although the next door ASB landmark and being across from the historic train station helped. I love my hairdresser in Christchurch, however the work in this salon was first class - wish I could go there all the time. Another lady told me she had been Sue's client for over 10 years, and travelled from South Auckland to get her hair cut ... no surprises there! And, at the end of the visit, the bill was really reasonable.
