I don't like writing bad reviews and would usually rather keep quiet than say bad things, but one has to draw a line somewhere. This was the worst mani/pedi I ever had. EVER. The whole experience lasted less than an hour. Less. Than. An. Hour. For both a manicure, and a pedicure together; The best mani/pedi I've ever had took three hours - four if you cound the spa procedures. (Just to put things into perspective, that was done by a nail tech with medical education, specializing in medical pedicures (which I, thankfully, have never needed - my feet are quite healthy). She knew her stuff. Unfortunately, I couldn't take her with me when I moved.) That's an hour and a half for each. That's how much time is really needed to correctly and competently do the nail filing, cut the cuticles, work on the soles, and put on the polish. So an hour for all of it is just unforgivable. I'm willing to spend quite a bit of time and money on good work. Here, I just threw away money for nothing. The adventure started with the technician clipping my toe nails too short, without even asking me what length I wanted. Didn't even manage to file them evenly. Then she barely grazed my soles with just some sort of a polishing sponge. Didn't do anything to work of the calluses. And then started to very haphazardly put polish on the nails. When I touch my feet now, they feel rough, exactly like they were before I went into Chic Nails. I'm going to be removing the calluses and polishing my feet myself. Then the manicure started. Without going into too many details, I'm going to be removing the leftover cutticles myself. The worst part is when I tried to argue that the cutticle removing was bad, the tech got very defensive and instead of asking how to correct it, she for some reason buffed the nails and put oil on them. Oil just hides the fact that you did a shoddy job. And when I thought it couldn't get any worse, she started putting the base and polish on my nails without first cleaning them with polish remover. I'm sorry, but anyone who knows even just a bit about manicures knows that you clean the nails with remover, since that makes polish last longer. The fact that I had to tell her that just shows utter incompetence. Thank god I filed my nails myself, since I'm pretty peculiar about the shape, otherwise I think I would have burst into tears then and there. I have to give the salon credit where credit is due, though: the overall atmosphere is good. Everybody is friendly and polite. The salon is clean and set up quite nicely. But a good manicure and pedicure is about more than just putting polish on the nails. I can do that myself. I expect and am willing to pay for substance behind the polish, for the things that are difficult for me to do myself - soft, polished soles for at least a week, no visible cutticles for at least three days and being asked what I, the customer, want - always. If you want to throw money away or don't care how your hands and feel will turn out, then come on over to Chic Nails. As for me, well, safe to say that I will not be setting foot (or hand) in there ever again.

I tried nails services in some spas but I think Chic Nails is the best. The owner and staffs are super friendly and do their job well. At here, I only pay $50 for organic services (I love Mandarin and Mango Sugar Scrub because you can feel as eating mango :))). My skin after scrubing is so smooth and silky :x While they massage for me, I enjoy watching TV :3 OMG, So AWESOME!!!!!!

I have been to this salon numerous times and I love this place. The staff is very professional and polite. The price is decent and service is spectacular. Though affordable, clean, and efficient, I have had extremely inconsistent service . I have never had to wait here - I've always walked in and been seen to pretty much immediately. Will be a new customer for sure.

There's a reason this place is always slammed. It's always best to call in advance so you don't end up waiting a half hour. Their prices are great, and I've always been happy with the service, they're fast and always sweet!
