My husband I are longtime visitors to the Sumtime Spa here and love it. That's why I'm sorry to have to write a somewhat negative review. There services get 4 stars, but the customer service aspect has taken a huge hit. My husband and I regularly buy one another gift cards for massages for all of the major holidays (birthdays, Christmas, mother's and father's day). In the past, when purchasing a gift card the transaction was recorded in a notebook. This was handy if you happened to misplace the gift card as they could still see that you had purchased it and it had not been redeemed. We still made a practice of remembering to bring in the gift card, but it was a nice comfort to think you wouldn't be throwing money away if you happened to misplace it. Which is exactly what happened to us recently. When he purchased a gift card for me a few weeks ago, my husband was not alerted to any change in policy. As far as he was concerned, they still recorded transactions in the notebook. ON HIS WAY home from Sumbody, he put his wallet, my gift card, on top of the car as he strapped my daughter into her carseat. Then he got in the car and drove away. When he realized what he'd done, he immediately drove back to recover the items, but he couldn't find him. He went straight to Sumbody and told them what had happened and asked if they could re-issue the gift card and they said NO. We have been going there for YEARS. He just not a half hour prior had plunked down for a 90-minute massage. I'm very disappointed that Sumbody would make such a change with the potential for such negative consequences for its customers without any kind of notification about it.

Sumbody is my absolute favorite place to get a massage in the Bay. Not only are their masseuses talented in relaxing every muscle in my body, their ambiance is exactly what I look for in a calming environment. From the sound of trickling water, to the herbal tea, to the private canopies, this place has all that I could ask for...And the price is competitive, too!

This was amazing I went there for a facial with a bunch of my friends and it felt great I was impressed by the organic products that they had !!
