I came here with my boyfriend so he was the one who got the service, but my review is mostly about the atmosphere of the place which was absolutely horrible. When we entered, my boyfriend was promptly seated, but I was completely ignored (perhaps because I'm a woman and was not going to be utilizing their services?). This didn't phase me too much, but what bothered me the most was this one guy there. Now I don't know if he worked there or not because we were only there for 15-20 min and it was the older guy who was helping us. He's a middle aged guy, brown hair, totally grumpy. He kept going out of the barbershop to harass and yell at random people who were walking by. He would yell at them that they weren't allowed to park in the complex, and THEN he would question why they were in the complex, whose business they were going to, etc. He would follow these people down pretty far - I had to go out of the shop to see how far he could go because I couldn't see far enough from my window. This one person he chased down even apologized and was going back to move her car, and he just kept yelling at her! He kept going on and on and on about the parking policy even though she was going back to move her car! I think if someone does what you ask them to do, and then you keep yelling at them, that's gotta be harassment. When he came back inside after yelling at the fifth or sixth person (I started to lose count), I tried to kindly mention that people might be more receptive to him if he used a gentler tone or didn't immediately start yelling. He just gave me a really bad look. Maybe this dude was having a bad day, but he shouldn't be taking it out on his customers or people who are in the shopping complex. For all you know, this could be his attitude everyday and he could take it out on you or your hair! He was completely rude and unprofessional. Save your business for someone who deserves it.

Eight years ago when I arrived in this neighborhood I was happy to find this honest barbershop (not a "salon" or "stylist"). Since then I've gone there regularly and been satisfied every time. I have never witnessed anything remotely like what the customer's girlfriend described in her review, and wonder whether she was dreaming or saw some very rare bad behavior on the part of a customer. The barbers who work at Giovanni's have always been friendly and polite in my experience.
