I need a haircut and I'm new to area so I decide to come here. I have an hour lunch and I figured thatd be plenty of time to get a cut if I got there when they opened. I tried to come Monday at 1030 but contrary to the hours posted here, they open at 1230 now. So I figured, no biggie ill try again today and show up right on time so I can get in and out. I arrive at 1235 and see a guy at the door and I'm thinking, "okay cool. They're just about to open. Perfect timing." nope. He was another guy who had the same idea as me,, show up when they open. So now it's 1250. So far I've wasted gas driving here twice, cell minutes calling the number they provide, cell data writing this review, but most importantly my time. I'm not sure if the people who work here have a conception of it, but it is something very valuable to people that they usually don't like to waste. So now I get to head back to work hungry looking as crazy as I did when I came in this morning. "Hey what'd you have for lunch today?" "Uhhhh.... Nothing. I actually just sat in a parking lot for 30 minutes" - me ... Maybe they're playing a prank on me now that I think about it... Alright guys. Jokes over. You can finally show up now.
After reading the prior review I was hesitant to try this place out. The barbers are relatively young but still polite and friendly for the most part. I'm still indifferent about the place but perhaps after a few cuts one can tell fully on how they function as a whole. Here is what I've observed; ●Etiquette: They are polite and friendly, Professionalism may be questionable depending on your perspective (afterall they do have to eat eventually), ●Maintenance: The place ia clean and updated with new T.V.'s ●Payment: They accept cash or debit cards, ●Duration: Less then a 3 minute wait. Overall, from start to finish I was in and out in 20 minutes tops. ●Service: For the most part they were receptive to what I had asked for. They emulated 95% of what I asked for and about 80% of what I asked for my sons haircut. ●Recommended Barbers: Diego. - Although he was filling in for another barber, he was well worth going for. I'd definetly return based on his skill set. He is not a bad a choice if this is your first visit. ●Rating/Review: I would have given this a higher review but since this was my first visit, I felt it necessary to rate it with only 3 stars until I visit a few more times. If I have a similar experience I will increase my rating. Update: I've made several visits now and increased the rating because the barbers here deserve more credit then they have received in previous reviews. I've had my hair cut now by at least 4 of them; all differ from one another but still good. If I had to choose, 3 out of the 4 seem to get my fade just about right.
I am not sure why the only other reviews on Google are less than five stars. I have been here six times and have never had a bad experience. I was excited to find a real barber, since I had been going to Great Clips. This place is as legit as they get. Great atmosphere, chill vibe, and super clean. I have received haircuts from Freddie, Cisco, and Jason and they have all been on point. Every cut came with a straight razor neck and forehead shave. I have also had a full shave on several occasions. The prices are very reasonable. I have paid more at other barbers for way less. I would highly recommend Ace of Blades to anyone looking for a real barber. The energy, vibe, and atmosphere exude class. The barbers take pride in their work and it is obvious, even going as far as to spend their own money going to classes to learn from the best of the best. I just got a haircut and shave today and you can believe that I will be back in a couple weeks.
This is a good shop. The Barbers are all good in their own styles and ways. You have to have looked around to appreciate the consistencey and skills of this barber shop. Of course, as with every shop, you have your preferred cutters. I've been around and I can tell you this is a good place to get a cut.
A young man did a great job on my beard. I'll be back
