Brilliant Nails & Spa
Reviews
Wedding coming up soon and I needed to get my nails done and have them last. I yelped, did my research and voila - this was the best bang for my buck and close to work. I called and inquired about various mani/pedi's and was given an hour estimate. Fair enough. I can do that. And was also told, there's no wait time. Cool. Five minutes later, I show up and all stations are full. Wtf? You said there's no wait time. Why lie? Just to get service? I told them I had just called and that they had lied to me. The wedding was the next day so I had no time to go anywhere else. This had to be it. The guy reassured me that they were wrapping up with other clients and I would be the next. Um ok. So I take a seat and I'm left waiting for 15 minutes until they finally open up a station and I noticed it wasn't wiped down. The guy gets the water going for my feet and it's lukewarm. Shouldn't it be a bit hotter and have some jets going or something? This is supposed to be "spa" salon. *sigh* They leave me sitting there for another 15 minutes with my hands and feet soaking in lukewarm water (now turning cold) until someone rolls a cart around and leaves it there. Um really? My fingers are getting pruney.. Finally, someone starts working on me and of course, doesn't understand what I'm saying. I want a French tip gel manicure/pedi and after trying to explain that for a while, someone that speaks fluent enough English finally explains what I want and two girls start working on me but unfortunately, they're also two of the slowest girls that pause after each service to ask if I like it - just do it and be done. About two and half hours later, they finally finish working on me. I really don't think mani/pedi's should last that long. The gel did last throughout the wedding but I still had to go home and clean up some excess nail polish I found around the edges and on part of my hands and feet. #smh.
