Mayra Not only is she sweet and beautiful, but most importantly she is a very talented stylist with trusted technique. Once I sat in her chair and she took the time to learn about my hair I knew I was in good hands. Mayra felt the texture of my hair, looked at its condition, and asked me all of the questions that really count before a cut like- how I usually style it, how often do I put it up or down and how so, what tools do I use, what I like and don't about my current cut and what would I like it to fall like and then she gave me her ideas on getting the haircut I wanted with my type of hair. My hair was washed and conditioned and then she went to work. Through the process Mayra was very attentive to my cut taking a moment here and there to see how it was coming together and checking that it was even where I wanted it and angled where I wanted that. Once She finished with the cut and asked if I wanted any changes (I didn't then and still never do, it's always perfect ;) she blew it out and styled it as well which was great because I had plans later... and felt lovely with my new do! The salon is nice on the eyes and relaxing, coats are provided for ease as well as a drink. Gabriel Santana Salon is quite knowledgeable as well, I have seen his work and it is a treat. End result- My haircut is amazing! It's easy to restyle myself and is better to work with than ever before. She definitely gave me a better hairstyle then I thought I could ever achieve with my (now flowing) hair. I have also had the pleasure of Mayra doing my hair color and she can work wonders! She took my dull, mousy half-grown out of the last hair color hair up 10 notches and corrected the unevenness to a rich chestnut with carmel highlights. highly recommend anyone who seek stylists who know not only what they are talking about, but also what they are doing to come to this Gabriel Santana Salon.

Gabriel is really good with color. I have tried many colorists in San Francisco, Palo Alto and even LA but Gabriel knows what he is doing. If this is wasn't enough, he is always working to accomodate my hectic schedule - which is often late at night after work. I highly recommend.
