Image Company Hair Salon
Reviews
My family and I have been coming to the Image Company for the last 4 years. Normally we do not make an appointment as we usually (not always) can get right in as a walk-in as they pointedly advertise. Today .. Sunday the 12th of June 2011 .. I called at 11:00am to see if my usual hairdresser, Jackie, was working. After dickering around with various times, I was told that Jackie would definitely have an opening at 12:30 for my usual shampoo, cut, and blow dry. I arrived at 12:15 to be confronted with an attitude from the receptionist, Kim .. "Do you have an appointment?". I responded yes and gave her the time and hairdresser. Lacking any politeness, she corrected me and proclaimed that my appointment was for 12:45. I, in turn, corrected her by repeating the phone conversation when I scheduled. She shrugged her shoulders and told me that they were running behind. Meanwhile I asked if my husband and son could possibly get a haircut as well. We were told that it would be an hour or hour and a half for them. So I sent them off to another salon and asked them to pick me up afterwards. At 12:30 ( as scant 15 min later) I was informed that the "color" my hairdresser accepted just prior to my arrival was going to take until 1:00 to complete and that she had an appointment scheduled for 1:15 .. "So, like .. is it okay that you only get a trim instead of the shampoo cut and blow dry that you wanted?" I was thoroughly insulted. They actually believed that it was professional to tell a regular customer that she was being shoved back because of a "color" that obviously was going to overlap my scheduled time and that I was only going to get a "Half Job" done on my hair because I wasn't important enough to finish before taking on the next scheduled customer. Never mind that I was now stranded for over an hour as my husband and son believed that I was getting my hair done as promised. Yes, the manager was present and she did NOTHING to aleviate the uncomfortable situation. We will never return.
Watch Out for the Receptionist! Very impolite I also am a long time customer 4+ years getting hair cuts every three weeks about, always as a walk-in. Found that it is very efficient to not to schedule an appointment. I have used many of the hairdressers throughout the years and have no complaints. I especially like Amanda who is always very nice happy. Greets you and never seems to have a bad day. Today however 12/4/10 I was treated with such disrespect by the receptionist I will likely not return to the establishment. The first time I walked in this morning 9:00am I was greeted with “:Do you have an appointment” I replied no as I always walk-in as the signs on the window advertise. She rolled her eyes at me gave a look of disgust and said they are not taking any more walk-ins until after lunch. I left feeling bad for her being so miserable. I brushed it off and finished my local errands and went back after lunch 1:00pm, at first I was relived she was still not working. However she made her way to the front again and asked “Do you have an appointment” with the same impolite way as she did earlier. After more eye rolling and heavy breathing she replied 25 mins. I took a seat and decided I’m not paying to be treated like this one of the hair dresser was available and called me over. I had a good haircut but it was interrupted by the receptionist twice because she wanted to order Lunch and was trying to get all the employees to order. Very disappointed with the management to allow such unprofessional behavior.
