Just moved back into town and seeking a good place for a pedicure. Heres how it went(all 20 minutes of it). Cut my nails and pushed my cuticles back, literally dipped my foot in water and drained it. There was nothing added, just water. Gave me a 5 minute leg massage. I kid you not she rubbed the hot stone up and down each leg once, towel dried my legs and feet and handed me my shoes. I voiced a complaint and they pretended not to understand english, just gave me a strange look. I basically paid $32 to get my nails cut. No beverage offered and nothing that was on the sign describing the pedicure was done. This is the location on Farmington ave. DONT GO HERE..........I am so angry because I only get my feet done every 5-6 weeks and I usually look forward to it.
I went there prior to an interview to get a gel manicure. Obviously I was a little more concerned about how they looked (color, neatness, etc.) this time than ever before. I had my manicure done by an older male who stressed every detail and took a longer time than what I thought was typical but it was absolutely perfect! Now I'm going on my third week with them and they still look really good except that my nails are starting to grow out. I just made another appointment for today and I plan on making them my go-to place. The only reason I don't find them excellent is simply the appearance (it was a little messy with Dunkin Donuts cups everywhere) but that will never stop me from going there.
Wasn't as clean as it has been in the past. Technician didn't listen to me; just went ahead and proceeded; missed many steps. This is the 3rd bad experience I've had at the Farmington Avenue location. Won't go there again for any reason.
I just got a pedicure at Silk Nails. I was happy with the pedicure itself, but I wish I had been told the massage chair didn't work. That's all part of a relaxing pedicure! Make sure you ask for a working chair if this is important to you too.
