I found Kelly on the internet for this salon to color my hair. She is a caring and warm person and does my highlites with perfection. I would never go to anyone else. I would recommend her to anyone.
I originally just purchased a gift promo off one of the sites initially it was just for the haircut. well, when i made the appt, and got there i asked for a color consultation and the guy seemed to know what he was talking about. so i was ok with the selection and proceeded to go. well. I didn't like the fact that my color was nowhere near what he showed me. he didn't leave it on enough that my hair turned orange. and the lady that washed my hair just got off her smoking that she smelled disgusting i had to hold my breath the 3x times she had to wash my hair. Then the person that cut my hair off.. she was scissor friendly even after i told her i just wanted a trim..she just kept cutting and cutting..she said that she was only taking off an inch, well..if i show you my hair now, the layers are the exact opposite of what she described and my hair is 4" shorter! No experience at all!! and don't come there without cash, because you can't leave a tip on your car, they have a "convenient" atm machine right there..so that they can make money of your bank fees. That was $230 wasted. Stay away if you want to keep your hair
I made an appointment with Michael, a color correction "expert". I told him "it happened again". Instead of following directions about where and how long my hair needs to absorb color, the last colorist "fixed" it by just dumping on a darker color. The last time it happened it was corrected by stripping the hair of the dark color and adding in the color I wanted. Michael and I spoke at length and I thought I was in good hands. I showed him two photos of the light strawberry blond I wanted. I told him I disliked highlights with tin foil as too unnatural looking. He said "no problem" and he would "even out the color". Much to my astonishment, when I looked in the mirror, my finished color was the same dark reddish brown I had walked in with! I paid (because I was in shock and my husband was waiting). On my way out he called to me, "and next time I'll put in those highlights." Where was his mind the 15 minutes we consulted? The next day I went in and asked for and got a refund. A color expert was there teaching. I showed him the photo of the color I wanted and asked him if there was any reason I couldn't have had it the day before? He said "only if your hair was too damaged" but agreed my hair was not damaged. Michael and I discussed the strawberry blonde color was best for my peaches and cream skin tone. So did the color trainer. So why did Michael enhance the reddish brown I hated when I walked in? Ladies, like when choosing a husband, make sure your colorist (1) listens and (2) knows how to communicate with women, something Michael still needs to learn. I waited 10 days and finally got the color which suits me best. Beware internet ads who call themselves experts! Get personal references.
overall great atmosphere and really talented stylists/ colorists!
