JCPenney Salon

I've been a faithful customer of Lisa Jackson's for many years. She is always interesting and interested in what is going on with me. She even came to my husband's memorial service last Oct, 2013. She always asks me what I want her to do and will give me her suggestions if I am not sure.
I started going to the J.C. Penney salon about 2 years ago after having my hair over-processed at a reputable local salon. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon (very convenient hours) and asked for them to just cut it all off! I was greeted by a very skilled stylist, Heidi, who reassured me that something could be done. I received a great cut that day and a deep condition treatment as well. I continue to go back to see Heidi every 3 months. My hair is healthy and she keeps my color looking very natural. I love that they are open every day...great for a busy person like me!
I went to this salon for a simple haircut. I had the picture in hand of what I wanted, but I asked that the cut be a bit longer than the picture (shoulder length). The stylist was very rough during the shampooing process, to the point of making my eyes water. At first the cut was going okay, and she made it the right length. Then she started adding more and more layers, until the shoulder length I had asked for became more like chin length. I have never been one to complain about a haircut, and a little shorter has never bothered me, but then out came the razor. She took more of my hair off with the razor than the scissors, telling me that she was giving my hair some volume. In the end, she didn't style or blowdry my hair and it looked awful. I couldn't get out of there fast enough to get home, style, and see what the actual outcome would be. It is the most awful haircut I've ever experienced. It looks like a weedwhacker cut my hair. It will not lay flat, and tons of the "layers" from the razor stick out everywhere.
