Now that I have moved away from Baltimore, I have realized that Fouta was a hidden gem. Its not cheap.. but the braiding is immaculate and worth every penny. I will certainly go back there if I ever find my way back to Baltimore.
It was a great experience!!! They even offered me food and my hair turned out Great! Such a friendly environment
Hello.I got my hair done at fouta's the weekend before last and I am very displeased.I went in with my hair already blow dryed and when I got there, there was hardly any stylist working which is crazy. If you open at a certain time, all you stylist should be there ready to do customers hair.I wanted medium kinky twist and the women who did me was a tall, chubby, and sloppy with short hair and freckly face.she did a horrible job!I told her it was too tight and she continued anyway, she also worked very slow and pulled my hair too much.while cleaning my braids she pulled them despite the fact that I said it hurted.when the time came for my rods and to be dipped, she was walking around with an 'i don't care' attitude.I had to speak with the man about it and only then did the terrible women come dip my hair.now it is almost 2 weeks later and the top of my braids is starting to unravel!I even had to recurl my ends because the curls had fallen out due to her.I highly doubt these braids will last 8 weeks.whatever you do,don't get the tall, chubby, and sloppy freckled face women.
I got my hair braided by them 2 1/2 months ago and returned there 3 times for maintenance. The braids were not knotted well, therefore, they slipped out. They also did not clip the stray hairs of the braids, so they began to look shabby after having them for only 1 month. On the plus side, the women who worked on my hair were fast. The shop, however, is very unkempt. Needs some cleaning and renovation.
I walked in on the fly and was more than satisfied.... The customer service was impeccable! My stylist, Ieasha , was awsome... I will be back sooner than later...
