really nice technicians and they did a great job with my pedicure! my feet were seriously gross and she buffed them to perfection :) they were really nice and explained everything and asked if i liked the color after painting one nail so cold check. great job and really great price! $25 with a 25% tip! plus it's close to TCBY froyo soo good
When I first visited a mani/pedi cost me $22. Which I recall because I decided to go back to Friendly versus to Queen Nails several blocks up the street, as I was charged $27. This time I was charged $30. I politely asked if it went up and the woman said rudely, "no it always $30." I didn't argue, but I suspect I was either undercharged by accident or they did in fact raise the cost. I don't understand how each service individually cost $12 and $20, but get them together and they are $30. Maybe it's the time the technician spends? You'd think you would want to charge the same or less to encourage women to get both together. Not a big deal, as this place is a bit ghetto anyway. While I was there a woman went totally nuts on the nail technician accusing him of making weird faces while doing her feet and not adequately taking care of her callouses. She totally made a scene. I was embarrassed for the nail technician. I don't think I'll be back.
I used to get my nails done in Zena's down in midtown on Charles street but their price is not worthy for its services. My nail lady there was inexperienced and occasionally rude almost. On the contrary, Hana at Friendly Nail is so much more experienced and professional. She went to beauty school in China before she immigrated here and I think her skill shows the education. She is quick, precise, and nails done by her last forever (at least 2 weeks but since I work with my hands a lot mine wear off faster.) She is also flexible and polite, I had changed my mind before on what kind of design I want on the spot and she created another design immediately! Friendly Nail is a lot cheaper compare to other nail places as well. The only con is, it is located in a less safe part of Batlimore so sometimes you might find strangers hollering at you on the street. And, the salon itself is either old or slightly dusty. Friendly Nail is not a glamorous salon by any means but it's great for anyone who wants real services and inexpensive cost. To me it's totally worthy, I rather go for the quality and not the whole glamorous experience. (Ask Hana she is great!)
Inexpensive. I recently went in for a french tip pedicure and it only cost me $25. Lina was sweet, friendly, and did a wonderful job. This is the first place in Baltimore where I am actually pleased with the service, although the massage was not great. I would recommend this place. Ask for Lina and tell her the Hopkins student writing a review recommended you...she might add a bit of extras :)
Cheap price.. Good service.. Ask for the girl with short hair. I forgot her name but she's such a sweetheart :)
