The Cutting Edge Hair Spa

I was referred here by a friend..BIGGEST MISTAKE I have ever made. When I 1st arrived, everyone was nice and welcoming. The stylist was very nice and personable. I simply got a shampoo, blow dry and curl (The same exact service my friend got). My hair turned out, just ok, I was done withing an hour and a half. I have not recieved a perm since mid January, and this was now March. I usually go to the domincans, so therfore I do not need a perm every month. My roots were'nt as straight as I would have liked them to be, but I wasnt expecting it either. She curled my hair with the cast iron curlers(The ones you use on the stove). She sprayed lots of holding spray, because she knew that I was going out that night, and wanted it to last... I walked up to the front expecting to pay $40- the price my friend paid two days earlier. After the owner showed the receptionist how to charge me for this, that and a 20% discount...my total was $80!!!! I looked at both of them like they were crazy. The owner was very rude, and unprofessional. She insisted that I was natural, and therfore I had to pay an extra $$. She said my iron curls were considered "a spiral set", which was $75. I only had $60, after arguing with her, for assuming that I was natural, she allowed me to pay $60. I left highly upset, because I didnt tip my stylist, who was very good. I went back to tip her, and to get an explaination. She was so rude, and un professional. She continued to argue that there was a price for relaxed hair, and natural hair. I told her over and over...just because I havent recieved a perm in two months, DOES NOT MAKE ME NATURAL! I was heated. I left, tipping my stylist and leaving unhappy. Brand new shop in the neighborhood, trying to help my people out, but they are over priced, and too unprofessional for me. I'm going back to the domincans, where I can be satisfied and treated with respect! This shop is beside the Dominoes...what the heck am I paying for???
