This is THE best place for haircuts in Grand Rapids! Hair cutting has been in Zach's family for years, and he is wise beyond his years in the art of a great hair cut! Highly recommended, particularly if you want a great experience at a great price! Zach is also personally a great guy and it is a pleasure to pass time in his shop!

Yesterday was my first experience at Zach's Barbershop. I've recently moved to Grandville and my out of control shaggy hair needed a cut. I simply typed "haircut" into Google Maps on my phone. Zach's came up with a bunch of great reviews, so I checked it out. When I walked in, Zach said "Wow! You REALLY need a haircut." - Not the way I'm used to being greeted when walking into an establishment for the first time. I'll be honest, it threw me off, but at the same time, it was completely refreshing! (as I said, my shaggy hair WAS getting a bit out of hand!) When I came in there were 4 others in the shop. I was wasn't super excited about waiting, but watching Zach interact with the guys there actually made waiting a treat! It also became clear WHY there were so many people willing to sit and wait (3 more came as I waited). It's an experience. Zach seems like a genuinely friendly barber and the whole place has the type of atmosphere of the old-style barbershop. For me (age 33), I can only compare it to shops I've seen on TV and in the movies- those barbershops you see where everybody is friendly, talking or reading their newspaper in a relaxed environment- enjoying life even while they wait- the type of barbershop you always wish you could go to, but don't believe exists anymore- or maybe only exists in fantasy. This was truly a great experience! Oh... and haircut was among the best I've ever received- probably THE best- honestly. The price was very reasonable and the service was very personal. I've never felt compelled to write a review of a barbershop in my life, but this one was beyond exceptional!

If you want a real great haircut and a great conversation, Zach's is the place! I was sad to leave the area because I was so pleased with his service, and I have yet to find a barber like him. If you like a haircut and a conversation at a men's barbershop (something that is increasingly hard to find these days, with the men's "salons" full of large-breasted women who do a mediocre cut), Zach's is the place to be.

Love me sum Zach's Barber Shop. Zach is super friendly and an excellent barber. I feel as though the pricing is very fair ($13). I have no complaints. I've sat in his chair 3 times and each time I've received a great cut.

Fantastic barbershop at for a very fair price. Super friendly and the best mens cuts I've found in the GR area. If you've never been to a traditional barbershop, Zach's is worth the experience.
