I bought a Groupon for two manis/pedis to use with my Mom for her birthday. I called on three seperate occasions and every time I called, the first thing they asked was if I had a Groupon. Then they would tell me they were booked for a week in advance. So on the third month in a row calling and the owner telling me they were booked, I finally said, "my Groupon expires next week". She became verbally abusive over the phone. I have NEVER had such combative customer service over the phone for a new client in my life. I don't know how they stay in business. I was sitting next to three other people who heard what I was saying, heard my tone of voice and could actually hear the owner's voice coming through my cell phone because that's how loud she was yelling at me. I got off the phone and asked if I had an attitude or was rude in any way. They all said "no, not at all". I kindly said to her "if you are this busy, you probably shouldn't run a Groupon ad", in which she screamed "you had 3 months to use the Groupon! If we are booked, that's not our problem". Except for the fact that she won't book you if you actually say on the phone you have a Groupon. She forces people to lie and say they DON'T have a Groupon in order to book an appointment. Who does that??? So I called Groupon and they gave me my money back. I wouldn't go to this place if it was FREE, much less pay them $70 for a mani/pedi and being verbally assaulted. The owner needs to get out of the HOSPITALITY business if she has such an attitude problem. Why would you yell at potential customer? Especially when I couldn't get a word in edgewise. She told me that I was the "only person that ever had a problem with her and her booking appointments and that she couldn't DEAL with me any more" and then HUNG UP ON ME!!! I can now see from other reviews, I am clearly not the problem.
Very unproffessional. Had no knowledge of our reservations. Offering wine many times or coffee instead of taking care of clients. Left me sitting in chair for over 20 minutes, because on phone trying to get owner to come in and help clients. Extrememly confrontational after making up excuses and blaming each other for the reservations not being written down! The longest and worst pedicure I have every had. Nails and Pedi did not last 3 days! I suggest any other salon. I WOULD NOT go back to day dream spa if it was FREE! You have been warned, DO NOT GO TO THIS UNPROFESSIONAL SALON!
I also agree that this is the WORST nail salon I've ever encountered. I walked in on a Friday after work around 6:00pm. Their sign says they're open until 7:00pm. I looked around, noticing they had a few stations open. The owner of the salon stood up and, in the rudest tone possible, asked me what I wanted. I asked if I could get a pedicure and she just said, "No." NO?! They weren't busy. They weren't closed. She asked if I had an appointment and said that it's been a long day and that they were really tired. Are you kidding me?! They were still open for another hour and had no legitimate reason so refuse me service. They offer a lot of Groupons and probably made a snap judgment that I would not tip them appropriately. (Dear terrible salon, stop offering groupons.) Obviously I will never go back there (I walked out on the spot) but somehow they are still offering groupons and I would like to make it my mission to have them banned from everything... everything in the entire world.
I was a bit worried after reading the reviews and after repeatedly trying to make an appointment but not being able to get one. I finally called today and didn't tell her that I had a GroupOn (which I had done every other time) and she got me right in. The nail tech did a perfect job and gave me tips on how to keep my heels moisturized (nothing seems to work). From what I understand, if you get anyone other than the owner, you'll be in good hands. I thoroughly enjoyed my mani/pedi.
First, I don't know why people say they are having trouble getting appointments, the place was dead. The tech was super slow. I was there for almost 4 hours for a mani pedi (really?!?). Part of what took so long was that I wanted a shellac french manicure. The tech completely botched it. I had to have it soaked off and a plain polish put on (because the tech didn't know how to do a french correctly!). I used a groupon, but even with that I feel like I paid too much. AVOID THIS PLACE!
