Kate did an excellent job, and I couldn't be happier. Very nice people, and fun to have conversations with!

I absolutely LOVE when Kyrie does my hair. She is one of the stylists at Lamar Hair Studio. She listens to exactly what I want done to my hair and then uses her knowledge and expertise to translate that into a perfect haircut or color! I have never had a bad experience yet! Highly recommended.

Kyrie does a great job with my hair and all 3 of my children's hair. She is funny and engages in great conversations with them. Her suggestions are always a big hit, especially with my 14 year old son who is hard to please. I am happy with the results and highly recommend her as a stylist. =)

I had a very unpleasant experience at Lamar hair studio today and I felt that I should share it. I did buy the groupon for Lamar and I have not been to Lamar ever before this. While I was on my way I called and let them know I might be a little behind since I was unsure about the directions and that I may be 5 minutes behind because I wasn't sure where I was going. My stylist Kyrie replied "well just hurry because im booked up today, okay?!?" I thought her tone was rude but I brushed it off and apologized for the navigation issues. When I arrived (on time) I was escorted back to a chair in the salon. You can tell that it is an older salon and it is very small. I had purchased a groupon for a highlight, haircut and style. I began telling her about my hair and my experiences with it. I told her that I was aware my ends were damaged and it had been a bit since I had a trim but I was planning on getting it cut that day. I also told her who my regular stylist was and that she had wanted to do the partial highlights earlier that week but that I waited to come to Lamar for them. She then began doing strand tests and after 6 of them and an hour (yes 6 and an hour) decided that she did not want to do the highlights that day because she wasnt sure how my hair would do. When I told her that my regular stylist had said it was fine and wanted to do them literally 2 days prior, Kyrie got a bit defensive, like to the point of being rude and unprofessional. I told her it was fine that we didnt do the highlights that day but I did want them in the future because I had already paid for them with my groupon. She also seemed really upset by this. She replied "well a cut, style and highlight with me is normally 61$ so youre already getting a good deal!" I understand that my groupon did save me money, but I felt that this was really rude of her to announce. She then did the haircut which was just alright (hence the star) and then she rushed through my style (like she literally told me she had another client coming in 15 minutes). The entire haircut/style was extremely rushed and it was clear that she had others coming in that were more important than myself. Overall, I do not plan on ever returning to Lamar in the future. Im not even sure if I am going to come back for the highlight at this point because I was really bothered by the entire experience. I really did not enjoy Kyrie and found her very unprofessional. I would have honestly rather had spent full price somewhere else and received the same services with my regular stylist instead of trying a new place.
