First Impression Salonspa

Nonsatisfactory. I didn't get the haircut that I want despite having shown the hairstylist pictures and instructions. Her name was Deb Theisen. She said the hair in the picture was too short. While she was cutting my hair, I kept on telling her that it was not as short as I want it, and she said she wants me to think about it for a day before wanting my hair cut as short as the pictures. Being that she has done it for 30 years, I thought maybe she has wisdom that I should listen to. I left thinking that I will sleep on it for a day. Even though the cut she gave me was decent, it was not at all how I wanted it. It was classy and what I want was something layered and choppy. I came back the day after telling her that I still want it really short, she cut it off a little bit but still was not short enough. I wanted my layers in the back to be higher but she said the rule is you cannot have layers above the occipital bone. I know she has been cutting hair over 30 years and there are certain things she has learned in the past. But this is hair and I think clients should get what they want despite any preexisting hair cutting rules. I have seen the my desired haircut done on others in the area and in the pictures so I don't see what the big deal is if I want really short layers. I went to X-static salon to get the haircut I desired a few day after and the hairstylist there carried out the task flawlessly. First Impression Salon charges $26 for their haircut, $2 for blowdrying, $3 for using a curling iron, pretty much everything added to the haircut itself has a price tag. I will never go here again for my hair.
I have been delighted to find this spa/ salon close to my new home. I went after admiring a cute haircut my co-worker got there, and have been very happy with the serive and the look I leave with. Yes, it is more expensive, but I've visted 3 times now and it's been worth the money each time! I find it hard to believe the reviewer below who cliams she lost skin getting brows waxed. The Aestetician at First Impression is extremely gentle. My only criticism in that area is that they definitely need a better-lighted area for facial waxing- I think that's why she missed some light-colored hairs.
Went in for an eyebrow wax and was extremely disappointed in the quality of service. Not only did they do a poor job at removing hair and shaping brows but took off a reasonable amount of skin. Definitely not a good look.
