Overall the salon is great - Stylists seem skilled, everything is clean, layout is nice, and all staff are very friendly... but beware - not all stylists are created equal! Long story short: Do not go to a stylist unless someone you know has recommended them! I was recently at Cole's for the first time to get my hair done for a friend's wedding. The stylist I was assigned to was very young but I hoped she knew what she was doing... but I was very disappointed. The hairstyle I wanted was simple enough that it could have been done by one of my friends but since we already had appointments booked I figured I would just go with it. As the girl was doing my hair I realized it wasn't going to be good right away. I kept trying to point out things I didn't like without flat out saying, "that is hideous." When she finished I did not like it and even tried to have her fix it before the wedding party left but it didn't help. Bobby pins were falling out all over, the braid wasn't even noticeable, and there were bumps of hair all over - AND I was still charged $60. I was so unhappy with it that my friend actually undid the entire thing and redid it. She has zero training and she was able to do exactly what I wanted and I would have felt much better giving her the $60.

Sadly, the stylist I had gone to at Cole's Salon completely screwed up my hair, I went in with pretty brassy hair and wanted it toned down so the stylist Becka suggested we do foils and then an all over color to deal with the brassy hair. I agreed, she had highlighted the hair in the foils and dyed the rest an ashy brown, to which I asked her before she dyed it if the colors were extremely opposite, she assured me that they were mellow and not dramatic and very similar in color but one was darker to give dimension. Not the case, I had platinum highlights and DARK brown hair in between that, also there were blotches of color and overall she used so much of ash grey/purple/silver that all of my hair, blonde bits and brown, turned a hideous grey. I understand that hair doesn't always cooperate so I didn't expect perfection in the first place, but what I got was GREY hair and it was BAD, I am 21 years old and that look was not flattering. The toner the stylist had used after foiling and dying my hair was what pushed it over the edge with the "Mature Woman" look and upon arriving home, my family all said the same thing, Oh my gosh your hair is REALLY GREY I called the day after my apt asking the receptionist to have Becka call and advise how to fix my hair as it was the day before Easter and I was hosting the family party, needless to say, no call, no anything and all I did was ask for help, not demand it be fixed I just wanted advice but no, I got nothing. So I then went to Vanity Hair Salon where they took care of me, she told me the best and safest options and when she did my hair it came out right, the first time, funny enough though that the girl who did my hair at Vanity was a previous employee of Cole's Salon who had quit, says it all right there.

Like a previous reviewer, I have been going to Cole's for a long, long time since I was a little girl and have not ever had a bad experience. I particularly like their spa and go to an extremely lovely woman named Amber. She is so kind and does the best facial ever. I can't say enough good things!! Ask for Amber, you will not be disappointed ladies!!

I've had a great experience every single time I've been at Cole's. I started going while I was in High School and saw Heather D who is amazing. Now, with 2 kids and a busy life I just haven't had the ability to plan out when I can come in to get a haircut so I've had to call on short notice and she hasn't been available. I've seen Heidi a few times who is also amazing and just recently saw Melanie who did a fabulous job also! I can't say enough good things about the stylists at Cole's.

I am very particular with my hair (to say the least), and every visit Kelly listens and respects what I want. Not only is she able to do what I want, but she does it in a way that is best for my face shape and hair type/texture! She is very knowledgable and skillful!
