I love this salon. Super nice and reasonably priced. The beds are nice and clean. It is a spa like atmosphere. Definitely the BEST SALON in the 40/42 area!

I absolutely LOVE a day at the beach at 42. The fact that it is CHRISTIAN based makes it even better. A day at the beach has become more than just a tanning salon, it is like a family. Every time I walk in there most of them (some I am just seeing for the first time :) ) know my name and the beds that I like. That makes me feel good, lets me know I not just another person walking in the door wanting to tan. Everyone there is so nice and always has a smile on their faces :D I recommend A Day at the Beach at 42 to all my friends and to all the folks that read these reviews! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!! The first day I went in, the owner was so friendly and made it seem like this was the best place to tan. So before I signed up for the year membership, I asked if there were any catches because I would not sign up if there were. She promptly said "no of course not!" ... as soon as I signed up they charged me a $20 enrollment fee, and told me if I had the intentions of canceling my package before my year is up, I would have to pay the remaining months. There are the catches. The first few times I went they were friendly and always greeted me, now after 7 months of me tanning here, I walk in and they STILL have to ask my name (they should know their clients if they've been tanning with them for 7 months). They're pretty much a rip off and unless you're an adult they are extremely rude to you. So much for being a christian based tanning salon.

This tanning salon is the BEST in the area. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very peaceful and clean. The beds are the best I have been in and the prices are great. She has lotions that are top of the line. I like that there are other items in the salon; pocket books, wallets, jewelry, candles, and now a hair stylist, manicures and pedicures. A great place to meet all of your needs.

The 40/42 area of Garner NC is not short on tanning salons. The growing area now has indoor tanning available on nearly every corner. While preparing to begin tanning for my upcoming wedding I noticed a sign advertising a free week of tanning at A Day at the Beach at 42. The owner was so welcoming and eager to help me. The salon is stylish and clean. Within my free week of tanning I could not believe how dark I had gotten. I always tan easily but WOW never this fast. However, being curious I still wanted to check out my options so I went to check out other tanning salons in the area. Then I purchased my month tanning package at what I feel confident is the best tanning salon at the 40/42 area... A DAY AT THE BEACH AT 42. I love the staff and the "super sized" tanning bed. And of course, I love my new tan! I will be ready for my honeymoon in Jamaica!
