I received a Groupon gift for a massage with facial and paraffin package deal (for amount $85.00) for Spa Zara in Monroe NJ for my birthday and called to schedule the spa visit. The attendant who took the call indicated that massage, facial and paraffin were to be scheduled on the same day and made the reservation. I received a call from the attendant the day before the visit to confirm. Then he called me back a few minutes later asking me to prepone my visit to an earlier time the same day. He called back several times and finally the time was confirmed. Once I arrived the manager was at the front desk and had me go for the massage. I ended up feeling pain in my back. I then was provided a robe and instructed to wait in the back lobby for my facial. A few minutes later the manager came in and told me I need to reschedule the facial and parafin treatment as this was not scheduled earlier. I advised him this was my first visit there and that I was not advised of this and that in fact the attendant indicated these are always scheduled as a package on the same day. I advised him my time is limited and I was unsure of the day to reschedule. He then said "you got the massage, just go ahead and reschedule the facial and paraffin". "There is a person here to do the facials but she is all booked up. We can't reschedule our other customers for you." I then asked him if this has anything to do with the fact that I was using a Groupon. He just shrugged his shoulders and kept trying to reschedule me. After I was rescheduled, he then told me I need to pay the tax of $6.00, but seeing as I was still upset, he agreed to waive this fee. I decided to cancel later on as I never was treated this bad at a spa in my life. The manager was very unprofessional and doesn't seem to respect customers who use Groupons. I don't recommend this spa to anyone.

I used a coupon for a two person spa visit with facial, massage, hand&foot scrubs, wine, cheese and fruit about two years ago. Scheduling was no problem. I left a message and they called me back to schedule promptly. The services were GREAT and the coupon price was very INEXPENSIVE. They extended the same offer at the same price with a one year time limit if I prepaid and I have done that several times since then to take my daughter, my husband, and my son for special occasions. Yes I paid taxes on the original voucher but I don't know whether that was illegal or not. It is certainly legal on my subsequent visits. I generally think facials are a waste of time but the facial at spa zara by Zuby was far superior. I was so happy on my last visit because the new masseuse named Brian happened to be one of my favorites from a previous salon that was far more expensive. Their previous masseuse was fine but Brian is the BEST. I am scheduling my next visit and highly recommend spa zara particularly for a pleasant spa package.

I had a facial done by Zuby today. From the moment i entered the door I loved the relaxing spa atmosphere, serene music and a really nice treatment by the staff. Zuby is very knowledgeable. My skin is so smooth and it's glowing. I loved it. I can't wait for another facial. Mila

Horrible Place! Horrible Service! Horrible Employees! Horrible Owner! Overall, a total horrible experience. Beware if you buy a GROUPON and go to this place, the owner taxes you on the original price that he has for the deal you bought which is highly illegal in the state of NJ. You should not be taxing on the original price. He is a crook! Also if he does tax you then ask him for a detailed receipt that says that he is taxing you on an original amount (which is illegal) therefore he does not provide that to you. I bought a Groupon for my husband and I. We went for an aroma massage and facial. Not what we expected definitely should have followed the reviews that were written before. The facial was supposed to be for an hour but ended up being only 20 mins, the person who did the facial kept leaving every 10 mins and coming back after 15 mins. She didn’t explain anything she was doing. The owner tricks you in the end to buy the same deal but not GROUPON, we told him we would come back but kept insisting and wouldn’t let us budge. He never states that there is a no refund policy. We asked him to send us a copy of his policies but we have heard back from him yet. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON THIS PLACE!

I bought a groupon for a hot stone massage a few months ago and couldn't get an appointment. They have horrible service over the phone and I've been rescheduled 4 times already based on their own mistakes. The 4th time I tried to make an appointment, the receptionist didn't understand what a hot stone massage was. Waste of money and TIME through Groupon!
