I'm really sad to see the bad reviews for this salon. I've been going there for about 4 years for mani-pedis and have NEVER had a bad experience. The salon is kept incredibly clean and the techs are efficient. The prices are very reasonable. I recommend this salon.
I moved to Glenmont about a year ago and I was excited to see the options in terms of nail salons - there are three in about a .5 mile radius. This nail salon is the cleanest and most updated on the inside. That is the only thing that is positive about this place. Their prices are OUTRAGEOUS for what you get. I realize Glenmont is a more pricey area, but if you're going to charge so much you should get a great product, excellent work and wonderful customer service. The first time I went to this salon I brought my sister. I got a new set and she got a pedicure. I've had a lot of experience with gels and the different options and I knew what I wanted done. I'm assuming the guy at the front desk is the manager or owner or something, and he did a good job, except it wasn't what I wanted. He gave me the pink and white french with a pink and white powder gel - which was incorrect. Apparently, we were past the point of no return when I noticed something was awry, and he assured me it would look great. Now I'm paying way more than I wanted to and am trying something new that I wasn't interested in. I felt bullied but let it go because I had to get to an appointment. My sister's pedicure was ok, but she was convinced that two of the workers were talking about her while she was sitting in the chair. I went back to get a fill and another gentemen took me to his station. He didn't file my previous nails down, which I mentioned while he was doing it. He assured me it would be okay. He airbrushed on my french, put gel overtop and sent me on my way. I came back two days later and talked to the manager at the front desk because ALL OF MY NAILS chipped from the airbrushing. I'm not saying this doesn't happen, it does, but has never happened to me with gel overtop. This guy did a HORRIBLE JOB!!!! And, you could visibly see where my previous nails were broken off and not filed correctly. This wasn't on one or two nails, it was on all ten. The worst part of all of this was that the manager ARGUED with me and said it was a wonderful job. I told him I'd never be back and he lost a loyal customer. I always tip well and am accomodating, especially if there is a wait or whatever. I expect to get what I pay for and I was disappointed twice in this place. Go to Fancy Nails in East Greenbush. They're the best. I've been their loyal customer for 7 years. It is worth it even if you have to drive 40 minutes. That is what I do.
Excellent salon. Clean, spacious with skilled, friendly technicians. All work done back from street with brows and other waxing done in private room. Fair prices - comparable to Regal at the local Walmart but so much nicer! Best in Delmar area IMHO for combination of price and service.
This place is terrible, they do not know what they are doing. The girl cut me so bad when she was trying to remove my acrylic nails that I had blood running down my finger. I walked out after that-never ever going back!
The people are very nice! Always clean and organized. Nicer then the one in the super wal-mart close by and no passer-bys staring at you!
