Carla is amazing and is the only person I can trust with my hair! I know I will love my hair when I leave her salon, of that I have no doubt. She is always willing to work with my schedule to fit me in and never makes me feel like a burden. I will go to Genesis as long as she will let me!

Went for my first visit two weeks ago and Carla did a fantastic job! She was professional, fun, and attentive to what I requested of her as far as my hair style went. She also suggested tips for styling fine/thin hair - which were very helpful when I went to fix my "new-do" the next day. I highly recommend her!

I was a walk in, not a scheduled appointment. They SAID they had time, but it soon became apparent I turned into a burden. Person who was cutting my hair was on her cell phone 75% of the time. They didn't even bother talking to me, but to each other. On top of all this, my hair cut (not a wash, dye or styling) was $45.00. I was shocked. How could chopping of the ends of my hair cost that much? I was completely disheartened through the whole experience. If you want to support a local business I DO NOT suggest this one. EDIT 10/24/14: They came into my work place and offered me a free something in return for their outrageous charging. I did go back to get a free hair cut. MUCH better this time. Got me in right away and cut it just the way I wanted it. To clarify on my first review I asked NOT to have my hair washed. I wash it every morning so I don't think it needs it before a cut. They were very nice, but I had a feeling I was the talk of the office after I posted my original review. My final thoughts are if they were committed to making me have a better experience, they will do it for anyone. (Even if they don't leave a bad review.)

I stopped by to make an appointment. Greeted by the owner, who couldn't be bothered to put down her cell phone, on which she was loudly having a total bitch session. I couldn't help notice that she was standing in front of a cross with bible verses on it, with GENESIS superimposed. She let me know that THIS late in the DAY, NOBODY was there to cut hair. In fact, SHE was only there by CHANCE, and SHE is the OWNER. A most hateful, incredibly ugly soul of a human. I kindly thanked her for her time and left, never to return.

Love coming here because I never have to wait and my time is important, I love Carla and she knows my hair and what it needs. Also love the decor.
