Went in with long hair for a trim- TRIM asked for specific things- each one was agreed, each one was done the opposite of my request, and I left with SHORT hair. Long past shoulders, SHORT to chin. Gave clear concise requests- Stylist confirmed he understood- I asked for clean edges, he texturized ( jagged) every single section of hair. Asked for weight around the perimeter to weigh down my coarse curly hair- cut it all away. I left with an round bubble afro, with I can do nothing but cry for a few years waiting for it to grow back. I feel physically violated.
This place is great! You can't compare it to any other salons in the Lehigh Valley! Every time you go in, it feels like an event. The staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I LOVE how they even offer you wine! Steph S. is the BEST for blonde hair that I've found! She really has an eye for color and great attention to detail, plus she's really friendly! I would reccomend Victoria for mani/pedis. Polish stayed much longer than any other mani or pedi I've ever had. Danielle gives professional, and relaxing facials and gave me the BEST eyebrow wax I ever had! Overall LOVE this place..I always feel like I'm among friends when I'm there.
I've been a faithful client of Vidal Sassoon for 7 years (used to live in Miami, then moved to PA and would bus it to NY). It is no longer feasible for me to bus it to NY for a haircut every 3 months. Found American Hairlines online and tried them out...LOVE IT THERE! Have seen 2 different stylists, both were excellent, and have gotten mani/pedi there as well. Loved it all. This place is excellent and the price is fantastic! Will remain a client of Amer. Hairlines indefinitely. Sorry Vidal!!!
I went here as part of a wedding party that I was in. Friday we had our nails done and messages and Saturday our Updos. The manicure and pedicure were awful. There were tiny air bubbles on everyone's nails and mine chipped that night. Half of the girls received a very rude masseuse and had to be reimbursed for their messages b/c the man was so inappropriate. The next day I spent $85 on my updo!!!! This did not include tip. Expecting to get a gold plated head of hair after that price the updo still ended up falling out by the beginning of the reception. The bride spent $75 on her updo (makes no sense a bridesmaid would pay more than the bride) by the owner himself and hers fell out as well! I had to take bobby pins out of my own hair to fix hers during the reception. It was nightmare. Shame on American Hairlines for trying to charge NYC salon prices and providing Jersey City service....AWFUL!!
I now live in Philly and refuse to go anywhere else to get my hair cut and colored. So I make the drive (so worth it). The place is exceptional in service and quality. Daniel has been my stylist for years and he is amazing! I do not recommend anywhere else to go but here.
