HORRIBLE!!! After a allergic reaction to some braids that I only had six days my visit to Touba was not any better. I decided to let Touba take my micros out because I did not want to return to the African Braiders near Spartan Barkey (also in Spartanburg; they do amazing work and are professional/ friendly)- because I did not want the braider to feel like her work went down the drain. Prior to me arriving at Touba I called to check the price, in which, I was told $60. She was really friendly over the phone. When I arrived the lady that told me the price was not the one taken my braids out; her sister started taken them out. I asked her sister not to cut the middle of my braid because she did not know how long my hair was. She proceeded to remove my braids, but started cutting again. In which, the lady who provided me with the price lashed out and said "she know what she is doing". I replied I am not stating that she does not, but I would prefer if she would not cut the middle of my braids. She proceed once more to cut my braids. I told her to just stop and told them I would pay them $10 for starting. They did not like the price and wanted more money; in which, she locked the business door and would not let me leave. I had to call the police to be released from the business. I have never in my life experience something so distasteful with a business. Also, they spoke French so I was unaware what was said- But it was super unprofessional.
My hair is beautiful but.....I went here yesterday to get senagalese twists. My hair is beautiful but those girls talked way too much. For 5 hours straight they laughed & yelled in French right in my ear because the two of them did my hair at the same time. I will go back to them in a few months but I will make sure I bring my I-Pod!!
