I know everybody has a different expectation of their stylist, and of course, different stylists work for different people-- Alisa (sp?) at Hair works, worked great for me. She was friendly, and open minded, I felt like we really hit-it-off... she wasn't fake. Her hair skills are great too; we discussed style possibilities based on my face shape, she clearly has a lot of experience and confidence about giving a good cut. That being said, I did only ask for a layered cut--not anything too unique, BUT if I wanted a more complex cut, I really believe this woman would have no trouble with it. She was the right age too; In the past, I've had problems with stylists that were too young (inexperienced) or too old (out of touch with modern style trends.) And she charged less than half of what I have been use to paying in the last town I lived, enabling me to give her a decent tip without breaking the bank! This place is a little gem, and I am so happy to have stumbled upon Alisa!
