I love this Salon. The service is the best around. I love that everyone is constantly taking continuing education. This means that they are always learning the newest techniques, the best forms, and the best color techniques for all kinds of hair. When you ask someone to color your hair, you want to know that they know what they are doing before they apply that color. You want to know that your hair, is being cared for by a skilled operator. This is what you get at Genesis. The best in the business.
Every time I get my hair done at Genesis, I am always pleased! I am a regular customer and have been for around 7 years now. I keep going back because the stylists always do exactly what I ask them to do. Bree and Cindy are both wonderful, as I'm sure the rest of the stylists are as well. I would highly recommend Genesis to anyone!

I had been looking for a new stylist since my previous stylist moved out of town. My sister (who did my hair for 20 years before choosing a different profession) recommended Genesis to me. I was excited to try them out since I hear great things, and love Bree’s work on their Facebook page. I made an appointment a month in advance for 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday. They called me to confirm my appointment for 1:15 p.m. I told her that my appointment was at 9:00 a.m. Long story short, she asked if I could come in at 11:00 and I said no, because my appointment was at 9:00 a.m. not 11 or 1:15. They said they didn’t know how it happened, but the only thing they could do was ask me to come at 11 since Bree was already booked at 9:00 a.m. (Yeah, with MY appointment or at least should have been). So I scheduled my appointment ONE MONTH in advance, even had a confirmation to prove that it was for 9:00 a.m. and yet their only solution was to make me change MY appointment time. Not the person who was booked AFTER me at 9:00 a.m. This is a HORRIBLE first impression for a first time (now never) customer. To top it all off, the owner Johnnie, called me and said she was aware of what was going on with my appointment and asked if there was any way I could come in at 11. And when I said “No, don’t worry about it, I don’t want to come there anymore.” She said “Ok, thank you.” And hung up on me. My sister used to own her salon and would have never treated anyone this way. Everyone makes mistakes, but they should be fixed in the correct manner. Not punishing the customer who made her appointment a month in advance.
