First, I was ignored. Then, while searching for my needed items, an associate helping another woman kept scooching me down the aisle until I was no longer on the aisle. She did this several times. Then, the cashier woman attempted to help me but couldn't understand what I was looking for because we in fact do not speak the same language. After a few awkward looks back and forth, she asked another associate to help. The teenager actually did help. And by that, I mean she rolled her eyes, smacked her gum and pointed to the box. Fine, she at least located the product I needed. Finally, I was ready to pay. I recently was married and I have not changed my license (my problem). My name and my husbands name on his card, obviously, do not match. I could tell that I wouldn't be able to purchase my items but the teenager didn't want to tell me. So she called over the woman that had already been rude to me. That woman says "Nothing matches on the card. Your "husband" will have to come pay for it himself.". And you what, that's fine. I can understand that. What I don't understand is being rude to customers. I didn't appreciate the tones or the attitudes. I expect store associates, whatever the store, to be polite, helpful and courteous. I will not shop at stores where the associates behave the way this team behaved while I was there.
This particular store does not cater to African American women.
