My daughter when to have a trim and color....the color was not what she expected so when she mentioned that SARAH, was not very receptive. I advised my daughter to give it a day because perhaps Sarah was having a bad day. When my daughter asked later if she could get the ends more blonde Sarah said yes for another $40 (she had already paid $80) being a college student this was a bit much plus, she has been getting her hair colored for a few year - typically hairdresser what to make the client happy. Next Sarah went on to say it couldn't get blonder.....funny, you were goof with it for the additional $40 bucks!?!?! Long of the short, after several text messages from Sarah explaining how my daughter simply did not understand color “terminology”, in a flustered state she said she would give her, her money back. My daughter went to pick up the money (that she never asked for she simply wanted her hair fixed) she asked to speak to the manager and said she had a few issues….the manager did not ask anything about who and or what, not did she apologize. My daughter then left and Sarah, who had left the money at the front desk, then came out the front door to yell at my daughter “I’m self employed!” She replied, “Ok” and continued walking. Sarah then said, “What do you have to say?” Her reply, “nothing” as she understands this is not how you do things. Really!! This lady is a grown up….yelling at my teenage daughter!?!? I have read some good things about Tangerine and I am not saying they do not have good, even fabulous stylist however, avoid Sarah!!! Very unprofessional and management should be concerned with who they lease too.

My teenage daughter got highlights and a cut here from Shirley. She loves it! Shirley did a wonderful job!

This salon is unpredictable. Some people are nice and friendly but most of them hate you when you walk into the door. They clearly do not want you to be there and treat you like crap. Bad service, and no communication between client and server. It was frustrating to tell them how I wanted my her cut, and afterwords it looked nothing like I wanted. Avoid this place. You never know what you're going to get.

All salons are not created equal.... the people at Tangerine are very friendly and seem to have some idea for what their doing, but it when it comes to treating and styling relaxed hair that seems to not be the case. I went there for a wash and set and left very disappointed. my hair had no body, no volume, no "ummph". Nacogdoches is a cute little town but they lack enough salons that can cater to African American hair.
