Healing Water Day Spa & Salon

I started working at Healing Waters back in October. I noticed small amounts being deducted out of my check. The management at Healing Waters was extremely chaotic. Besides being anywhere from 30 mins to an hour late for appointments an packages, Gloria was known to make scenes, or talk through massages we did together. I had many clients tell me her presence made them uncomfortable. As beautiful and unique as Healing Waters is, it is very ill managed. I don't regret my time there, but I do regret allowing myself to be taken advantage of for far to long. I would advise anyone to read the reviews before considering this place for yourself or others over the holidays... Yours Truly Previous Employee
I've never walked into a place and felt more uncomfortable, judged, or unwelcome. I don't like paying $50-$100 to feel this way. Don't go to this terrible place.
Horrible service. The owner whose name I believe is Gloria is an absolute mess. She was very uncomfortable to be around.
Being ill for a long period of time has made me appreciate how important being healthy is to the body and soul. I found I love being pampered and was thrilled to have found Healing Waters Day Spa which offers a variety of treatments. While recovering from fibromyalgia (a chronic pain disease) and irritable bowel syndrome, I was introduced to colonics, which was a blessing! This type of therapy was a huge benefit in helping me to achieve my active lifestyle of today. I always look forward to colonics. Gloria respects my privacy and gives me plenty of time to prepare. The room has background music, soft lighting, warm bedding and a cozy feeling. This creates calmness. Throughout the session, Gloria is gentle and patiently explains each step, putting me at ease and making me comfortable. Gloria's positive attitude helps relieve any concerns I might have, which is very important to me. I appreciate Gloria's professional manner and feedback. I realize her suggestions will only benefit me. I like to treat myself to a massage sometimes before colonics. I enjoy the salt glow massage (Body Polish Exfoliating Massage) since it includes use of the steam room. The exfoliation of the skin and the warm towels makes me feel alert and alive. The aromatherapy oil massage afterwards is quite calming. Now I am ready for colonics. My doctor highly recommends colonics to me on a regular basis. Colonics will stay at the top of my list of helping me keep a healthy lifestyle. Also I love being pampered! I feel that colonics has been an integral part in improving my health and lifestyle. Because I am so active now, I make it a point to explain to many of my friends the importance of having a healthy colon and recommend Healing Waters Day Spa.
My teenage daughter was going to the beach for two weeks and really wanted to try a Brazilian wax. She has really course hair and is prone to painful and very noticeable shave rash in her bikini area. I knew she'd be in agony if she had to shave every other day and then get in the sea water. Not to mention, it wouldn't look pretty. So, we made an appointment here for her first waxing experience! The owner (the dark haired woman in the above pictures) left my daughter alone in the room with no instruction while I went to run some errands around town. There was a towel and some waxing "undies" on the bed. My daughter must have put the undies on the wrong way because when the owner walked in to begin the wax she burst out in laughter. My daughter quickly covered herself and started putting them on the correct way. All the while, the owner was bursting out in laughter and screaming "SHE PUT IT ON THE WRONG WAY!! HAHAHH!" Apparently, my daughter could hear every single person in the office laughing at her expense. My daughter left mortified and in tears the entire way home. Don't ever go here. Go to Martha Washington Spa. It's about 5 dollars more expensive for a wax, but it's much less painful and the professionalism is on a completely different level.
