Disgusting. Used dirty, wet towel after my shampoo. Dropped tools on the ground and still used on my hair. stylists station was so gross, old hair in brushes, looked like it was not cleaned EVER. My highlights were orange and thick. I asked for fine blond that blends. The 90s are over!!! very poor quality work and bad customer service. No drinks offered and the magazines were from last year. the smock she put on me had old color caked on it. Can't believe they charge these prices when you can't even get a clean towel. Also don't pay with cash they make you go to a bar next door to break your bills because i guess nobody ever puts change in their till.
I feel sick to my stomach reading all the bad reviews about the salon... I know that the salon doesn't treat their clients the way that they should... but in all the midst of this, there is one really awesome stylist who does work there and her name is Theresa. No matter what she is always positive, out going, caring and really takes pride in what she does... not to mention she DARN GOOD at her job!!! I have been to many different sylists, all wanting to over charge or make me wait for a ridiculous amounts of time, but Theresa is always there before I get there ready to go, taking my jacket, offering me something to drink...seriously Theresa is the only reason I go back! However unprofessional the salon is, Theresa treats me like gold! Before you give up on the place, book an appointment with Theresa, you won't regret it!
Nice salon, most of the staff were very nice, poor service. All the stylists had a nice big coffee for themselfs but nothing for their clients, not even a glass of water was offered. The girl I had spent most of her time complaining about Living Social coupons and how it was a waste of her time doing them. There was no price list of services and she had no idea if they had one on there website. I had highlights or should I say orangelights. I was told it was just the lighting, it would fade, and to go buy purple shampoo. She did offer to put more toner on but dried it, trimed it, and I was done. I'm now going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed and spend more money. Out of 4 living Social coupons I have used, only one did a good job, and that was The Beauty Parlor.
I went to hair salons in Calgary to get quotes on turning my stained faded red/orange hair to blonde - and every salon I went to here quoted me $600+ because my hair was not dyed it was stained a dark red for so long. Ontop of that pricing, alot of salons wanted to just go with another option of going over it in brown and try to go from there (which makes no sense to any real hair colorist because even if you dye it brown, the red is still underneath - they just wanted to do a quick fix.) I hated the color, and to top it off I had roots and another salon tried bleaching it out which only caused me to have 3 different colors in my hair, my dark blonde roots, a gold bleached color, and the ugly orange faded color... I went all the way to Edmonton to see Theresa at the cutting loft, where she on her day off spent about 4-5 hours on my hair, even went as far as to go buy a certain product her shop did not carry just to help fix my mess of a hair color!!! After the long process, I walked out of the shop not only paying WAY less than the salons in Calgary quoted, but I WAS BLONDE! I love my blonde hair, and will not see anyone else again. Theresa saved my hair!
Worst service I have ever had- I waited an hour and a half in the lobby while my hair dresser chatted, went for a walk, had a smoke and got a coffee. Once i sat down, it took 5 hours to do highlights which turned out ORANGE- once I was done, she wrote down the costs and estimated it would have cost almost 300 dollars to do what she had done to my hair. I was disgusted- the owner of the job was there the entire time to see how awful of a job his hairdresser was doing and how she would go out to smoke and leave me sitting there for a half hour to an hour during my visit... very embarassing
