I had a great blow dry with Rebecca last year and have subsequently been back several times to have my hair cut by Lawrence who is very talented. I was offered a hot cup of Aveda tea, given a head massage, and most importantly the cut was excellent. It lasted well and looked good even if I didn’t dry it! It is a nice salon to be in, small but feels friendly and airy. I disliked the wash basin, it is a bit uncomfortable but they usually are. Be sure to ask for refills of the tea, they are happy to refill and it is delicious tea.

The team at Farfalla are delightful. My fiance and I were visiting Whistler for a few days with our family in Vancouver and the weather was awful. As we all decided to go out for a nice family dinner at Hys, my fiance and I decided to spend a few hours at Farfalla and we were so happy. We met the owner, Emanuela (a beautiful soul) and spent almost two hours with all the girls. Even my fiancé had a blast! We will alwys remember Whistler in the rain and the beautiful sunshine we found in Farfalla.
I have to preface this review by saying that I have been to Farfalla many times over a period of three years for both hair cuts and eyebrow waxing and have had a wonderful experience over this time. However, the last time I went in for an eyebrow wax, it hurt more than usual and after I paid and left a nice tip, I went to wait in the main room for my fiancee to have his hair cut. I glanced in the mirror to look at my eyebrows and noticed that the skin under my eyebrows was missing. It felt like a really bad sunburn and it was sticky with plasma. I was horrified and panicky. When I told my fiancee that there was skin missing off of my eyebrows the esthetician came over and remarked that she was sorry, and that it had only happened three times before!!! I understand that accidents can happen, but rather than refund my money or something equally compensatory, she suggested I purchase a $30 bottle of Jojoba oil. Really? I was freaked out and worried that it would scar, so I bought it. After playing on stage for the next three days with scabby eyebrows I thought I would call the manager and speak to her about my experience and what poor customer service I received. I didn't want to point fingers or get anyone in trouble, but I did want to be heard and for the manager to know what I went through in her shoppe. I called twice over two weeks and, surprise surprise, she never returned my phone call. An expensive and painful visit. I will never go back, and I suggest you don't either.
The team at Farfalla were always very professional throughout the years, I have been a client off and on since 2002 and have always had a pleasant experience. I also like the selection of Aveda products. Its hard to find quality products in Whistler and its great to know Farfalla has a complete line. Thanks Farfalla for all these years!
