The Encinitas Spa
Reviews
Sugaring is definitely a better method for hair removal and I was very excited to learn this service was offered at the Encinitas Spa, but overall I was disappointed with my experience. I get Brazilians but I only have about half the amount of hair removed compared to the average person. Because of this every spa I have ever gone to offers me a discount on the price (their only doing half of what they do for every one else, so it seems illogical to charge full price). When I asked if the price (50 dollars) would be the same for me even though I am not getting a full Brazilian they told me the price would remain at 50 dollars because they did "the backside" and the price is always the same for this. I understand that this is their policy, but the problem with this is that both times I received this service, the "backside" was VERY rushed (once was my fault because I was late) but it was the same rushed service both times. I went home with stubble as well as completely untouched hairs in this area and the stubbled hair grew back right away. If they are going to justify their pricing by referring to this aspect of the service, they should at least do a thorough job. You get what you pay for, but not at Encinitas Spa.
Suzan at The Encinitas Spa was one of the first to offer sugaring in San Diego and she does a great job at bikini waxes, brazilians and eye brow shaping. The spa also offers massage and facials and they always run monthly specials so make sure you subscribe to their newsletter. Located upstairs at Moonlight Plaza off the 101 and Encinitas Blvd. The spa also offers great deals if you have a monthly membership!
