I went into La Jolla Ulta in late November while traveling to the area. They had new employee there available, which they said was great! He was terrible. Butchered my hair. Hair color didn't stay. It wasn't left on long enough. He didn't know how to wash hair, cut, style, or color. So frustrating as he cut my long hair in odd and irreparable ways. I live in Las Vegas so went to local Ulta for repairs. They don't guarantee work of other salon. So I have to pay for all repairs again. I've complained but didn't receive a response. Actually, the cut isn't repairable. It needs to grow out. But they were able to blend the mess a little. It's only hair, I get that. But Ulta screwed up having this guy work at their salon. Been using Ulta for 15 years. Only one other time did I receive such poor service. Hate to complain, but this guy needs to go.
I spent over $300 on my hair for a deep condition, cut, highlights, etc. It came out AWFUL! And they overcharged me on items that I was supposed to get a discount on, charged me for items I did not buy, overcharged me on the service prices, and overcharged me by $20 for a expensive body cream that was marked down in price. I don't know if this was intentional or if it was sheer disorganization or stupidity on their part. The store is very conveniently located so I really liked that and thought I would give it a try - which was a huge mistake! I am still trying to straighten out all of these overcharges and will have to go elsewhere to fix a haircut that is just awful.
