just because this is a "full service salon" doesn't mean they get to over charge you. for lord's sake, the place doesn't even mention that haircut starts at $30.00+. they're liars. i got a half an inch trim and the woman charged me 30 bucks. when i told her to keep 2 dollars for the tip and give me back 3. she kept 3 bucks and gave me back 2. it's not that i am fighting over ONE dollar. it's a matter of principles. they won't go very far in business with service like this.
I have been going here about two years now and love this place! the prices are great compared to other salons and my hair stylist Parvin knows exactly what she is doing. I have gotten my hair cut by susan before too and she is also good. the staff is really friendly and they always try and make you happy. Parvin even redid my highlights for free because they faded away. I would definetly recommend this place!
It was my first time going to this place, I didn't know what to expect or whether I would even like it. I've been to a few other places for a haircut around the bay area and most of them have disappointed me even when the reviews have been good. So I went here thinking I may not get what I want. However, luckily I met Parvin who did my haircut and blowdry and she simply did an awesome job! I had very long hair and wanted to cut it really short, so you can guess how apprehensive I was. But it was all worth it in the end. Prices are on the higher end (about 60 bucks for haircut and eyebrow shaping), but I wouldn't mind spending that much if I really wanted a great stylish haircut!
I went for a quick bang trim and thought, "how bad can this be??" This very thin woman takes me to her chair and asks me if I want side bangs. I tell her I wear them both ways - forward and side. To my dismay, I don't think she understood my english and gave me a CHOPPY side crap cut. She must have not eaten all day too because her hands were shaking so much it was probably impossible for her to give a straight cut. (I might add, it was kind of scary to have shaky hands with sharp scissors near my eyes...) She asked if I liked it and I pointed out the jaggedness - which, again, she did not understand and got short with me about! She thought by my saying they were choppy I was saying I wanted a 'straight' cut and proceeded to impatiently give me a straight bang! Half way through I stopped her and that was enough for me. If you go, don't get the really really skinny one who doesn't speak english.
