I've gone here several times. I live in NYC, but am in Aurora to visit family. I've gotten an outstanding cut every time. The decor is very old-fashioned -- it feels like I'm stepping back into the 70's or earlier. (If it were intentional, it would be retro, but I just think it never changed.) It isn't fast -- they take the time to be deliberate and do it right, including pulling out the lather and straight razor to make the lines on the neck and around the ears very precise and clean. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
Great price, great cut, great atmosphere. Don't expect lots of frill and fill, just ask for what you want and then sit back and relax.
I used to frequent this shop 7 years ago before I moved to Florida and their service was top notch! I Just moved back and nothing has changed. Went in for a cut today, perfect fade, perfect service, perfect price. THANKS JIM!
This is an Old Style Barber shop. I go here because the Barbers truly know how to cut hair. They learned through experience and mentoring, not by going to beauty school and cutting hair off of manikins. They use hot cream and razors to shave your neck, and they are very professional. The only downside is they only take cash and checks, so hit up the ATM before you go.
Went here on a whim when I was in a hurry. Real old school barber shop. The service was quick but didn't feel rushed. Precision snips from obviously seasoned hands put me right at ease. Smiled often, and listened to what I wanted done, not what he wanted to do. Also made a masterpiece of my facial hair, a rare feat! Would recommend to anyone in the area.
